TempGuard KTTG Isothermal Insulated Enclosure

Description

Sealed Air’s TempGuard™ insulation solution is a recyclable inner sidewall conformable material developed for shipping temperature-sensitive products. The product’s thermal insulation is made of high-strength kraft paper containing a uniform inner cushioning, which provides superior insulating properties. This insulation is efficient, environmentally friendly, easily disposable and takes up very little space in the customer’s warehouse. The thermal conductivity and thermal resistance property data of the uncompressed pads are listed in Table 1.

TempGuard™ is a highly customizable box liner that can be optimized through thermal modeling to meet the needs of one- and two-day shipments. The graph below shows data from a typical ISTA 7E hot profile from an in-chamber test.

TempGuard™ can be used as a thermal insulation material that is not in direct contact with food, pharmaceuticals or medical devices. These items must also have primary packaging with a suitable functional barrier material. TempGuard™ can be customized to meet a variety of different temperature profiles when combined with refrigerants to achieve customers’ thermal shipping needs.

Sealed Air recommends that each customer determine the suitability of TempGuard™ for the intended application using an ISTA 20 certified laboratory and internal protocols. Since conditions of use and applicable laws may differ from location to location and may change over time, each customer is responsible for determining if the products are appropriate for their use and for ensuring that the product and disposal practices comply with applicable laws and governmental enactments.
